Last week we heard that not only is Liberal MP from Edmonton, David Kilgour, considering a return to the Conservatives (his 2004 plurality: 134 votes), but that the provincial Liberal parties in Alberta and Manitoba want to change their names.
Now, there’s news that Liberal MP from London, Pat O’Brien wants to cross the floor to join the Conservatives.
Hmmm, I don’t know about him — wasn’t he in some trouble recently?

My Liberal MP last year was the first and only one to jump ship, Mr. John Bryden was his name. He then ran for the Conservative nomination and promptly got beat by this scary fundamentalist Churchie dude. Churchie dude then got his butt handed to him by some clown the Liberals parachuted in. The moral of this story? crossing the floor back and forth like a pendulum worked for Sir Winston S., but won’t likely work well for these guys. The way I see it, if you’re a Liberal, take pride and revel in the fact you’re a crook. I like my bad guys mean and unrepentant. The Conservatives nor anybody else want some yellow bellied nervous nellies joining them… stay home. Lastly, I’d like to give a shout out to my buddy Benedict Scott Brison, hang on tight to that sinking ship you dirty rat

Kilgour originally crossed to the Liberals because he was opposed to the GST, and they promised to “abolish” it… how’d that work out for him?
It does raise the question of whether David Kilgour can win the Conservative nomination in his riding.
