I’ve finally been tagged, by photoblogger Chris Taylor of Taylor & Company, in the latest chain-letter blog meme. (Like Zerb, I was beginning to wonder if anyone cared. Sniff.)
Today’s time-waster, should you choose to accept it: describe five weird things about yourself, then tag five other bloggers to do the same.
1. I used to have really bad insomnia, and for years I would be awake until 4 or 5 am, and then sleep until noon (or later). Being a media junkie, I spent a lot of time watching overnight news, especially ABC’s World News Now, co-anchored by Canucks Thalia Assuras and Kevin Newman. My insomnia was eventually cured, by having children that wake up before 7am.
2. Possibly related to the insomnia, I also have hypnagogia, which means occasionally within the first half hour of sleep, I will open my eyes, and see vivid hallucinations. It’s freaky.
3. I couldn’t whistle until I was 33 years old.
4. When driving, I often confuse East and West, but never North and South.
5. While reading anything on the web (blogs, articles, etc), I compulsively and repeatedly select the paragraphs with my mouse, as if to copy and paste them.
But other than that, I’m completely sane.
Now, I’d like to take issue with two other weirdos:
Bob Tarantino at Let It Bleed:
I often sign my emails “Cheers”, although I don’t actually mean it in a drinky-drinky sort of way. Cheers, Bob!
Greg Staples at Political Staples:
I have a passionate hatred for anything to do with Vampires, especially Vampire movies…
Anyone who attends Science Fiction conventions, but refuses to watch Joss Whedon’s best work, is seriously missing out on something great.
Now, tag you’re it. These are listed in a particular order, but I’m not saying what it is.
